Curcumin, the pungent yellow spice found in both turmeric and curry powders, blocks a key biological pathway needed for development of melanoma and other cancers, say researchers from The University of Texas M. Did you know that a recent study conducted by researchers from Wheeling Jesuit University showed that drivers who were exposed to peppermint and cinnamon scents were more alert and showed decreased levels of anxiety, fatigue, and frustration?1 When volunteer drivers were exposed for thirty seconds in fifteen-minute intervals to cinnamon, their levels of fatigue decreased. They also became more alert when exposed to cinnamon and peppermint, while driving with no odor had no effect on them. Grandmothers standard home-remedy. Remember the advice that drinking a cup of hot water, as hot as possible from the kitchen tap, with the juice of half of a lemon squeezed into it (drink down in five minutes) as the first "food" of the morning - then wait 30 minutes before your ate your breakfast - would keep ;you healthy always. Good advice.
